Dr John Reid is to be New Labour’s Viceroy in the Scottish Raj.
Yet again Tony Blair has shown his contempt for the voters of England, this time by appointing Glasgow MP, Dr John Reid, as Home Secretary, despite the fact that the Home Office is virtually an England only Department.

It was Dr John Reid’s chippy performance, on Newsnight with Jeremy Paxman, that led the exasperated and witty comment that England was now virtually a “Scottish Raj.” In the spirit of this comment, the English Democrats note that we now have a new Viceroy and that the search is on for an English Mahatma Gandhi!

The appointment of Douglas Alexander as England’s Transport Secretary is also, in Lord Baker of Dorking’s words, “an affront to all English voters.”
