God has thrown some MORE rocks at the earth, and STILL no one takes any notice of Him! What does God have to do to get our attention? A whole group of asteroids passed close by the earth last night. We have had monster tsunamis, unprecedented tornadoes, floods ‘of biblical proportions’, horrific earthquakes … and still not one nation has got on its knees to repent of our wicked ways. America this month, June, formerly the month for beautiful brides, celebrates Gay Pride at the behest of our homosexual president (a Newsweek cover said he was). What does God have to do to get our attention? The Bible tells us, and it is not going to be fun…not gay at all…
The western world is going on in its merry way. The glass recycling boxes outside the houses in England are stacked high with empty booze bottles. If you try to tell anyone the truth about God and the Bible, they react like it’s a bad smell.
‘God’ is a word they use to indicate surprise, not even realizing that they are blaspheming the name of the creator of this universe. Their ignorance will not be accepted as an excuse on the day they meet the One whose name they bandy around so loosely.
Homosexuality is more than tolerated…it is celebrated, particularly by the man in the Oval Office, who will be wearing his rainbow tie this month to show his support for perversion.
Never mind what the Bible says. Never mind what God thinks.
How God has put up with us for so long is amazing, but He even tells us why. It is because He does not want anyone to miss out on the wonder of His salvation plan. He wants as many as possible to come to faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, so that they might be saved from hell. So for now, He allows this evil world to stagger on.
His patience is finite, folks! He tells us what is coming, and those with eyes to see can see that those future events are casting big shadows now. NOW.
What are these shadows of coming events? Previews of the horrors to come. Well I have noted just a few this week. If you know God and the Bible, you will tremble. If you don’t, you will probably sneer.
One is monster snakes. They are not native to America, but now great pythons infest parts of Florida, probably released when they got too big and dangerous to be pets any longer. They are perfectly capable of eating people.
What has this got to do with the Bible? God tells us that in the terrible Great Tribulation, enormous numbers of people will die in the judgements – and one way they will die is by ‘evil beasts’. A python is an evil beast if ever there was one! (Book of Revelation 6:8)
Another is hail. What’s the big deal with hail? Well, it’s getting bigger. An ice ball the size of a football crashed through the roof of a house in Colorado, destroying the kitchen. Oh, that’s just one, you might say. Discovery Science channel disagrees. A program this week revealed that ice bombs are a ‘new weather phenomena that puts us all in potential danger.’ They blame it on global warming and one expert said that in the last ten years there have been multiple reports of ice bombs falling. The scientists call them ‘mega-cryo-meteors’ – great frozen balls of ice.
Surprise, surprise. God told us that He has a ‘treasury of hail’. That is in Job, the oldest book of the Bible, written thousands of years ago. Chapter 38, one of my favourite chapters in the whole Bible.
And God tells us that hail was one of His weapons against the enemies of Israel, and it will be a weapon of judgement in the Great Tribulation. Revelation 16:21 tells us:
‘And great hail from heaven fell upon men, every hailstone about the weight of a talent (about 100 pounds). And men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.’
Dear friends, it is time to get serious and get right with God, the God who can not only kill us, but throw us into hell for all eternity. The wonder is that He does not want to do that! He wants to save us! He sent His only-begotten Son, the Lord Jesus, to die in our stead, so that we might inherit His kingdom with Him!
And yet most of us reject Him and His Son. That is why the terrible Tribulation is coming, when at long last God will pour His anger upon this earth and all those who reject Him.
There is a way of escape, and that is by putting your faith and trust in Jesus as your Savior. Won’t you do that today? You can start fresh, from now. You can escape hell, and also escape the terrible time that is surely coming on the earth.
A good prayer: Lord Jesus, I believe you are the only begotten Son of God who died at Calvary. You were buried and rose again on the third day, all as prophesied in the Old Testament. Please forgive my sins. Please be my Savior. I accept Your gift of free salvation. Please make me one of Your people today!

And do we hate homosexuals? Of course not! We know of five who repented and put their faith in Jesus. If you have been lured into this sin, please consider your ways, how it leads to disease and early death, followed by eternity in hell. You can change your destiny. You can accept Jesus today as your Savior and cry out to him to deliver you from evil, the evil of homosexuality. You can.
Jesus said whoever comes to Him, He will never turn them away. Never! He said no one would snatch them back. No one, nothing would ever separate them from Him. Please consider.
