Is the Bible a mystery to you? It needn't be! Your church almost certainly provides little in the way of Bible study. Next week-end you can fill that void in your knowledge. Renowned Jewish Bible expert Dr.Arnold Fruchtenbaum has come all the way from Texas and will be teaching next weekend at Normandy Village Hall in Normandy, Surrey, near Guildford and just outside Aldershot.
On Saturday, Sept 20th, 10:30-4:30, his subjects are: The Book of Hebrews and The Basis of the Second Coming. AF comments: Yes, the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ which is fast approaching, despite the indifference of the mainline denominations! It's predicted many times in the Bible, yet few people realise the signs are all around that the return is imminent. We should be yearning for this - yet our nation and its Laodicean church are mostly yawning. It's wake up time!
On Sunday, Sept 21st, 10:30-4:30, Arnold will do four sessions covering: The Rise and Fall of Antichrist; The Messianic Kingdom (two sessions); and After the Kingdom: the Eternal Order. AF comments: You've heard all the false prophecies from the Mayans and assorted mystics. Get the truth this week-end, from the world's only infallible source - God's word.
Both days are split into four sessions, with coffee, tea and lunch breaks, and plenty of time to meet Arnold personally.
The weekend is sponsored by Tongham Christian Fellowship, a remarkable little church in the village of Tongham, just outside Aldershot. This is the church we (Alan and Pat) attend, and there are six weekend conferences each year.
We often think – what an amazing thing! Arnold shouldn’t be coming to us at all! He should be speaking to thousands at the Albert Hall in London! Or at the biggest stadium in the land! Not coming to a small, independent fellowship in a backwater!
But such is the deep spiritual darkness in England today that when a real Bible scholar comes here, few are interested. Very few people take the Bible at all seriously. As terrifying events unfold in the Middle East and elsewhere, people must wake and realise: it is all in Bible prophecy. Your vicar didn't tell you? What a surprise. Come along this week-end and we will!
Normandy Village Hall is at Manor Fruit Farm, off Glaziers Lane,Normandy, GU3 2DS. There is no admission charge and teas and coffees are free, but don’t forget to bring a packed lunch. There are no shops or cafes in the village at all. There is plenty of parking available.
All the sessions will be recorded and can be ordered from the church website, www.yeshuaspeople.com
The church webpage about the weekend is at http://www.yeshuaspeople.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=37
. The following Sunday, September 28, I (Alan) will be preaching at the Sunday service at our church building, Tongham Christian Fellowship in Poyle Road, Tongham. It's just up the road from the Church of England church.
