Update on William - Jesus has answered your prayers!

Dear friends, Thank you for praying for William, who a week ago was  lying unconscious in a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent in England.  A beloved believer in the Lord Jesus, he is in his fifties.  His heart operation had been suspended because his heart became enlarged, and was too big to fit back into his chest.  Surgeons could not close his chest cavity, so it had to be left open over last weekend.

We asked readers to join in asking God for a miracle for William, who was not expected to live.  His family was asked to come in to say goodbye, but the Lord Jesus, our merciful Savior, provided His healing touch.  What a kind and loving God we serve, abundant in mercy, full of loving kindness.

The surgeons have been able to complete the operation and William is now recovering!

Pastor David Moore, William's pastor at the Baptist church in Stoke, said it was a miracle.  All praise and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ!

If William had died, would God have been any less loving and merciful?  No way!  William would have been rejoicing with His Savior in heaven, and although his family and church friends would have been sad to lose him, all the believers would have known full well that it would not have been forever.  They would have known that they would all be together again in a glorious future.  They would grieve, yes, but not as those who have no hope.  (1 Thessalonians 4:13)

If he had died, his body would have been put in a grave, but his spirit would be in heaven with Jesus.  And his body would be raised in the event called the Rapture, described in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18.  Not only would his physical body come up out of the grave when Christ comes in the air for all believers, but his body would be utterly changed, transformed to a glorious body.  This is described in 1 Corinthians 15:51 to end of chapter.

We believers know the future!  We know what is coming, and what the Lord Jesus is going to do, because He has told us in the Bible.  We are His people.  He has big plans for us, wondrous plans.

P.S. If you do not know the Lord Jesus, why not take this wonderful moment to get on your knees and invite Him into your own heart?

Aknowledge Him as the Son of God who died to take the punishment we all deserve as sinners, who was buried and rose again on the third day, and is now in heaven at His Father's right hand, awaiting the moment He will return to the earth He made.

Jesus promised:  'If you believe in Me, you HAVE eternal life.' (Gospel of John, chapter 6, verse 47)   This cast iron guarantee of a place in heaven can be yours today, unless you harden your heart and reject Jesus.  Tragically, most people do.  Very few take the narrow way that leads to eternal life.  Please, dear reader, be one of those few!  It will be a greater miracle even than William's healing!

He who forms mountains, and creates the wind, who declares to man what his thought is, and makes the morning darkness, who treads the high places of the earth - the Lord God of hosts is His name.
