Holocaust Remembrance Day at Yad Vashem - and PM Netanyahu makes his usual pertinent points. By Alan Franklin.

If you want to see where anti-Semitism leads, go to Israel's extraordinary Holocaust Museum where a a moving memorial shows in great detail how the Germans destroyed six million  people whose crime was their Jewishness.

Israel's leader Benjamin Netanyahu was there this week when all of us in Israel stood in silence for two minutes in memory of the dead - and he made some telling comments.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said on Wednesday in a speech at Yad Vashem: “Millions of people in the Muslim world read and hear horrible falsehoods about the Jewish people.

"They tell them that the Jews are the descendants of monkeys and pigs. They say that Jews drink the blood of their enemies in goblets….British MPs, senior officials in Sweden, public opinion makers in France.

" I must say that anti-Semitism in our days is creating odd combinations – the elites who allegedly represent human progress joining up with the worst barbarians on Earth, those who chop off heads, persecute women, oppress gays, destroy cultural treasures…

"We must mobilize to spread the truth with the same passion our enemies are mobilizing to spread lies…For generations we were like a driven leaf in the wind, without strength, without defense. But no more.”

This was reported in The Jerusalem Connection, an American-based organisation which  brings news of all things Israeli that the world needs to know- and won't learn from organisations like The Biased Broadcasting Corporation or the world's major media. Here is their contact e-mail address:

God says: "The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry.

"He asked me, 'Son of man, can these bones live?' I said, 'Sovereign Lord, you alone know.' Then he said to me, 'Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!

"This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’” (Ezekiel 31:1-14)

So however British Socialist know-nothings and others rail against Israel - the only true democracy in the Middle East and the only nation there with true freedom of religion and the rule of law- it matters not in the coming sequence of events. Israel is destined to become the greatest nation in the world. Not my opinion: the Lord's promise.

God WILL have His way, His People WILL flourish and all attempts at removing them from the land WILL fail. All who come against Israel will end up as fast fading bad memories - finished. Just like Islam soon will be.

I return to The Jerusalem Connection for their final comment: The Jerusalem Connection (from Shelley Neese) says: "The plague of anti-Semitism is as old as the Abrahamic covenant.

"It's a disease that when let loose will fester and choke a once thriving nation or culture. Look at the Egyptian empire. Hittites. Amalekites. Babylon. Rome. Soviet Union. The Third Reich.

"What do all of those have in common? They tried to annihilate the Jews. Now, they are the ones that have vanished and it is their empires which have crumbled. The Jews have outlasted them all. Am Yisrael Chai! The people of Israel live!" Amen- so be it! AF.

But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. (Paul’s comment in his letter to the Galatians shows that Peter was not the ‘first pope’ – nor was anyone else.)
