Prepare to be blessed! You must watch this...

by Pat Franklin

Prepare to be blessed!  In the video link below a young boy recites just how the entire Bible speaks of the Lord Jesus.  The Lord Jesus said the scriptures all spoke of Him.  This puzzled me years ago, as a young believer  reading the Bible for the first time.

In Luke Chapter 24, verses 25-27, after the resurrection, the Lord Jesus walked with two sad people on the road from Jerusalem to Emmaus.  They were cast down and disappointed because Jesus had been crucified and buried, so they thought He could not have been the promised Messiah.

When He began walking with them, they were prevented from recognizing Him.  And when they told Him why they were so sad, He said: 'O foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!  Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His glory?'

Verse 27 then says:  'And beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.'  Wow, I thought.  Jesus was throughout the Old Testament and I had read right the way through and missed Him!

As a new believer, I couldn't understand that at all - where was He in the Old Testament, I wondered.  I was foolish and slow of heart, just like the people on the road to Emmaus!  As the years went by, I found out a lot and am still learning, but how I wish I had found a church which would have taught me these things early on!

The two men on the road said that as it was explained to them where the Messiah was in the Scriptures, their hearts 'burned within them'.  Mine did too as I watched this video link, in which a young boy recites where Jesus is in the Scriptures.  Click on the link below and hear for yourself.
