There's no place to go but up! by Pat Franklin
15/04/2011

Don't you wish there was an undiscovered continent that we  Christians could settle?  There is literally nowhere to run to any more. There is no place to go but up!  Jesus told us that when we see the really bad stuff begin to happen, we should look up, because our salvation is drawing nigh.  He was talking about that great event which most churches ignore or deny - the rapture of the church*, when the Lord Jesus returns in the air and calls His people out.

We are in that time, the time of the beginning of birth pangs (Matthew 24).  The world is getting so bad, so uncongenial for those who believe in Jesus.  So many things disturb us, frighten us, horrify us.  In so many countries Christians suffer persecution and martyrdom.  But take heart, dear friends, we won't be here much longer.  He really IS coming back, and those of us who believe in Him really ARE going up to be with Him in Heaven while the terrible judgements of the Book of Revelation are poured out on this earth.

The great thing now is to use whatever little time is left us to lay up treasure in Heaven, to use whatever talents God has given us in His service, and to try to reach those who need to know the Savior.  (I do NOT mean you should give money to the many TV charlatans, the religious rascals.  Please get  clued up on who is and is not a real Christian.  We go into this in our books.)

Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father, who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never know you: depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.'
Matthew 7:21-23
