Imagine...an entire city singing the praises of Jesus Christ!

by Pat Franklin
I love those films of orchestras and choirs suddenly breaking into glorious music in public places - especially if it is my favorite piece of music, the Hallelujah Chorus.

But there is more and greater to come, dear friends!  Today I happened to read Psalm 147.  The final psalms work up to a total crescendo of praise, until the poet exhausts himself with it and concludes in Psalm 150:  'Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.  Praise the LORD!'

But getting back to Psalm 147, verse 12 says:  'Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem!  Praise your God, O Zion!'  I am certain that that will actually happen, in the Millennium Reign of the Lord Jesus.  I can just imagine standing outside the city walls, maybe on the Mt of Olives, looking at the city, and suddenly everyone in it starts singing, praising the Lord.      'Wow ' does not begin to describe it.  But actually, when it does happen, I don't want to be on the Mt of Olives.  I want to be in the city singing my heart out.

In case you have not yet seen one of these 'random acts of culture', you have a treat in store.  Here are two links for the Hallelujah Chorus, the first at a food court, the second at Macy's.

Enjoy!  And just think, if you belong to the Lord, you are going to be able to sing even better than that, and the choir will be city wide, world wide.  Come, Lord Jesus!  What wonders await those of us who know the Lord.

If you do not know what I am talking about, consider the claims of Jesus today.  He claimed to be the Son of God, and He came in order to die for our sins.  He rose from the dead on the third day, and more than 500 eyewitnesses saw Him in His resurrected body.  The apostles died martyr's deaths rather than recant on their testimony about Him.  It is all true; it is provable.  It is your choice.  Please choose life!

A good prayer:  'Oh Lord Jesus, I believe that You died for my sins.  Please forgive me for (tell Him your sins; He knows them all already, so there is no point trying to hide anything).  I believe that You were buried and rose again on the third day.  Please make me one of Your people.'

For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would be heir of the world was not through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith.
