We have just updated our wills, which made me realize that God has actually written a will as well, leaving matchless
wonders for those who inherit. God's will is in the Bible, of course, and we have no excuse if we do not get in on His great inheritance.
We hope that
will not only have happy lives, but that you will all come to put your trust in Jesus, who died as a sacrifice so that our sins could be forgiven.
We are ALL sinners.
The Bible says that Jesus died for sinners.
To belong to Him, you have to put your faith in Him and ask Him to forgive your sins and make you one of His people.
He will do it!
The alternative is NOT to put your trust in Jesus, to reject His offer of salvation.
Most people do that.
Jesus said that most people would choose the broad way that leads to Hell.
Only some would choose the narrow way of faith in Him, the way that leads to Heaven and eternal life.
Alan and I, repentant sinners,
have chosen to get on that narrow way.
We have thrown in our lot with Jesus.
He promised in the gospel of John 6:47, "If you believe in Me, you HAVE eternal life."
We do not deserve at all to go to Heaven, but we know that is where we will go, simply because Jesus promised it to everyone who puts their trust in Him.
He died for sinners, and we qualify!
also qualify, dear reader.
The Bible says ALL have sinned and fallen short.
one is good enough.
So you must make your minds up.
Which is it to be?
The broad way that leads to Hell?
Or the narrow way that leads to eternal life?
Please choose life!
Please choose Jesus!
So what do you leave behind when you die?
You cannot take one penny with you!
At the end of the road, only those things are done for Jesus Christ will be of any benefit to us.
We came to faith late in life, and
have done precious little for Jesus, but many of you have your lives ahead.
For those who don't already belong to a fellowship, will you please consider joining a church* and a Bible study so that you can learn enough to make an intelligent decision about Jesus?
If you have children, would you not want them to know Him and to go to Heaven?
Or would you rather they grow up going their own way, making wrong choices, maybe getting into trouble and then going into an eternity without Jesus, barred forever from Heaven?
Because our nations have turned their backs on God, all this sounds foreign and maybe even stupid
now, but the Bible makes it very clear that there is a choice to be made – to accept or reject Jesus and His sacrificial work on the cross of Calvary.
We are either with Jesus or against Him.
There is no fence to sit on.
He shed His blood so that we could be forgiven.
Would you trample on His blood?
Or would you ask Him humbly to apply it to you so that your sins can be washed away?
We hope you will do that, with all our hearts.
Jesus is offering a far, far better inheritance than the richest person on earth could leave behind. You will secure that matchless inheritance if you come to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, creator of this universe who became a man so that He could pay the penalty of all our sins.
* As for churches, we are well aware that so many have gone into apostacy and no longer believe much of anything.
Maybe you have a Calvary Chapel
Or an independent Bible fellowship?
Or maybe you will just have to start one in your home, getting CDs and DVDs from good teachers.
Time to get ready, folks!
He is coming soon!
