One of our favorite Bible teachers, Dr Arnold Fruchtenbaum, is coming to southeast England this weekend (June 9-10) and will be going through the book of Zechariah, with its amazing prophecies of the battle for Jerusalem and the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in glory.
Zechariah is the penultimate (second last) book of the Old Testament. It was written after the return of the Jewish exiles from Babylon and begins with a series of mysterious visions. Among other things, it contains amazing prophecies about the coming Antichrist and the specific fate of certain cities in the Middle East.
The book is extremely relevant in our day. One of the most famous prophecies is that Jerusalem would become 'a heavy stone for all the peoples,' which it certainly is, as world leaders struggle with the demands of the muslim world. One prophecy concerns an event which will make every single surviving Jew weep bitterly.
Other prophecies in the book concern the terrible time known as the Great Tribulation or the 'time of Jacob's trouble' and details the fearful effects of what sounds very much like nuclear war.
Arnold has sent over charts for the overhead projector which will help us understand the sequence of events when the armies of Antichrist mass in Israel to make war against Jerusalem.
But it's not all gloom, folks! Zechariah also tells of the wondrous return of our dear and precious Lord Jesus, the Savior of the world. The world belongs to Him and He is not going to relinquish it! The Jewish people are His chosen people and He will not relinquish them either! Come and hear Arnold unpack those beautiful prophecies!
The teaching weekend will have four sessions each day and by the end of the weekend we should know a whole lot more about the climactic events which are even now shaping up for their prophetic fulfillment.

Arnold is a very special person to us, not least because he came all the way to England from California to marry our daughter Annie to Michael, an Israeli Jewish Christian. But even more than that, he is special because of his immense and deep knowledge of the Bible, and his meticulous teaching skill.
He usually has a question and answer session if there is time, and takes any question on any Bible subject. I have been there when he has handled many, many questions with precise scriptural answers which sometimes conflict with current ideas. So if you come to the weekend, bring your questions, preferably written down.
Coffee and tea will be free, but if you are coming for the day, bring a packed lunch. There are no shops or cafes in the village.
