The Doomsday Preppers are neglecting the most important thing...by Pat Franklin

Have you seen the Doomsday Preppers programs?  We found them hilarious at first.

They are people preparing to survive all sorts of catastrophes, from supervolcanoes to  nuclear war.  Some have built underground bunkers stocked with food to last years; they have fearsome weapons to repel anyone who tries to steal their supplies if the evil day ever arrives.

The are thinking 'end of the world' thoughts, thinking the unthinkable, except it now IS thinkable.

If you ever take the time to read the Bible, you will find that even worse things are written.  The preppers are not silly; they know that terrible things have been happening in nature and the world is more dangerous than it ever has been, with extremely radical and wicked people getting control of nuclear weapons.  Horrific scenarios are not only possible, but certain.  Horrific events are not only casting their shadows before them; some of them are actually determined!

The end of this age has been written already in Bible prophecy!  It is all detailed in various places in the Bible.  The Lord Jesus tells us of it in Matthew 24, Luke 21 and Mark 13.  Not to mention the Book of Revelation!

The things that are coming are far worse than even the preppers imagine.  Stockpiles of food are not going to cut it.

What did the Lord Jesus command us? 'Do not worry about your life , what you will eat or what you will drink...' Matthew 6:31

And what about shooting people who try to steal our food?  'I tell you not to resist an evil person...give to him who asks you...' Matthew 5:38-42   '...love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you...'  Matthew 5:43,44.

And He also indicated that we can escape the terrible time ahead!  He told us to pray always that we might be found worthy to escape all that is coming on the earth!

We don't have to become  food hoarders; we can escape the awful events that may be just a short time in coming.

How can we escape?  Simply by knowing Him, the Lord Jesus.  He is the way of escape, acknowledging Him as our Savior, the One who died on the cross for the sins of all the world.  And although His death was sufficient to cover all the sins of all people, only those who accept Him will benefit from His great sacrifice.

I am a true prepper.  I am really ready.  I don't have any big stock of food, and have never possessed a gun, but I am absolutely ready to go.  I don't need a 'bug out bag' with 72 hours supplies in it.  I probably couldn't even lift such a heavy bag!  But I am ready to go at a moment's notice.

Not that we will get a moment's notice; 1 Corinthians 15 says He is coming in the twinkling of an eye, not even a moment, so there is no time to get any bag.  Anyway, we can't take anything with us.  He is all we need and He will supply all our needs.

Our supplies are laid up in Heaven, or they should be. The Lord tells us:  '...lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven...' Matthew 6:20.

Please also read 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18.  Jesus, not a nuclear bomb, is coming in the air, and He is taking His people out.  The bomb may well follow when God's people are gone.

Please, dear readers, consider these things.  Jesus told us the right way to prepare, to be His preppers, to watch always for the signs of His coming and to be ready when He suddenly appears.

Are you ready for the Rapture?

I got ready in January of 1981 when I knelt down in the bedroom and told Jesus I believed every word of the Bible, that He died on the cross, was buried and rose on the third day, and that I loved Him.  I begged Him to forgive my sins and make me one of His people.

That, folks, is how you get ready.  You get on to His team; you become one of HIS preppers. ALAN adds: My teaching on the timing of the rapture is available from our web shop. It will encourage all believers!
