The Irish Republic voted for “same sex marriage,” whatever that really means, by a large majority. Was I surprised? No. Do I think things worldwide are getting worse fast? Yes; the choice was always “Christ or chaos.” We have chosen chaos so had better enjoy the rotten fruits we see all around us!
Peter Marshall, Chaplain to the US Senate, told Americans in 1947, when the USA was still broadly “God-fearing,” that Christ or chaos were the only alternatives. There is no middle ground, like today’s easy tolerance of evil. Since then God has been banned from schoolrooms in America, the UK and elsewhere and generations are growing up without a moral compass. The predictable shambles, moral crisis and disintegration of society has since happened rapidly.
Why? Well, the church has mostly ceased to preach the Word of God, concentrating instead on social issues and making women “bishops” – a post the Bible clearly states they cannot hold as a Bishop must be the husband of one wife! And marriage must be between one man and one woman. Feeble, misguided preachers who disagree had better take it up with the Creator of Heaven and Earth.
Pastor Marshall, a great man of God, told the lawmakers that they and the nation had a choice: ”Conviction or compromise, discipline or disintegration.” Universally, our leaders and the Sheeple, who mostly don’t care or even notice what is happening (we the Sheeple!) have chosen the easy route of appeasement and acceptance of, well, almost anything.
Noah Webster, author of the Blue-Backed Speller, Webster’s Dictionary and much else was the man primarily responsible for establishing America’s Bible-based education system. He said: "Discipline our youth in early life in sound maxims of moral, political, and religious duties." Proverbs 22:6 teaches: Train up a child in the way he should go,
Even when he is old he will not depart from it.
When this was done the USA rose to greatness. All of it was because children were taught scripture and society was for the most part orderly and honest, decent and with a respect for law and the family. In the United Kingdom the first schools were established by Christian pioneers, who fed the children of the poor - and also fed them the Word of God - in the "Ragged Schools."
This dramatically changed our society for the better and saved generations of previously hopeless, lost children. I once spoke in a church building which had housed a ragged school, in Derbyshire, England, and it was a moving experience.
We now do it our way, not God’s way, and the world is fast falling apart as a direct result. How can children, taught not to be “judgmental” and that there are no absolutes, be anything but out of control? Frank Sinatra “did it his way” and what a mess his rotten, corrupt life was. He ended it in his dotage, his mind gone, endlessly rearranging the chairs round his swimming pool.
It’s too late for us to even rearrange the chairs. They are all turned upside down. Even so-called Christian churches huddle together in a cosy embrace with cults and false faiths. I call the Churches Together movement "False Churches Together." All good friends and very good company....if you want a nice Easter Egg Hunt.
Or perhaps you fancy taking your puppy to be blessed at a pets’ service? I am not making this up, unfortunately. When I put “pet services in churches” into a search engine I got over 39 million references!
I don't know if readers have our book Cults and Isms: True or False? but it clearly sets out the differences between the Bible – God’s word - and the main false faiths and cults. There is not a great deal of theological difference between the Anglicans and the Catholics as both embrace Replacement Theology which cuts Israel out of the end times scenario when in fact it is central. Even many Baptists have plunged into the ecumenical stew, promoting the well-funded Alpha Course!
People who argue with us about the book’s conclusions always commence their critique with the line: “Well, what I think is….” Well, I don’t care what you think. What you think - or what any of us think - pales into insignificance compared with what GOD decrees in his word, the Bible – our handbook for life. We should read it and accept it as the whole truth from Genesis to Revelation - the whole truth in the whole word. Our children need to be inoculated against the lies of evolution by being informed from the first class creation materials available from http://creation.com/
Be encouraged - "the Gospel is an offence." There are those, like the men of our small fellowship in Surrey, England, who are still teaching the true word, which itching ears DON'T want to hear. Too “judgmental.” I’ll say so, which is just what the Bible commands us to do. Our job is to be the Watchmen on The Wall, to shout out a warning: The world as you know it is approaching judgment day and the Lord is coing back. Be ready!
The world won’t like us for the most part, but the feeling is mutual, as I don’t like the mess our misrule has made of the world. We are up against an institutionalized liberal media. The young in all nations are brainwashed and no alternate views are allowed, on subjects from pervert “rights” to abortion, global (non) warming, evolution and so on.
This is becoming ever more threatening to people like us. I speak to mostly small groups here in the UK and they are broadly in full agreement with us. However, as one lady told me at a conference in America: "You are preaching to the choir."
So, our time is short and this tidal wave of perversion will not be reversed. On the contrary, it is getting worse fast, as readers know. Pat and I feel like aliens in this world, a “tolerant” world where true Christianity is fast becoming intolerable to the majority. Tolerance leads to compromise which leads to acceptance of anything. Yes history, and more importantly Biblical history, shows the outcome: remember, the Canaanites were to be wiped out at God’s command.
In Joshua 9:24 God ordered the destruction of the Canaanites, an order paralleled in Deuteronomy 20, when God told the Israelites: 16;18 “Only in the cities of these peoples that the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, you shall not leave alive anything that breathes.
“But you shall utterly destroy them, the Hittite and the Amorite, the Canaanite and the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite, as the Lord your God has commanded you,
“In order that they may not teach you to do according to all their detestable things which they have done for their gods, so that you would sin against the Lord your God.”
The Israelites failed in this mission and God’s warnings were proven right: (Judges 2:1-3; 1 Kings 11:5;14;24 and 2 Kings 16:3-4.) God wasn’t being “cruel and capricious” in ordering these people to be wiped out, but did so to forestall greater evil, which is exactly what occurred.
The Canaanites had gone far beyond the point of no return, having “abominable customs,” (Leviticus 18:30) and, just as our nations do today with every form of occultism, they practiced soothsaying and sorcery. They had nude orgies, snake worship, child sacrifice and much else too depraved to write about. They defiled the land they inhabited and had to go. God is just. However, He is a Holy God and judgment does come sooner or usually later, as He is also long-suffering and patient.
Once the USA, under President Obama, made June the month for perverts - it was once the month for brides; States started sanctioning “gay marriage” and in the United Kingdom our so-called “Conservative” Prime Minister, David Cameron, followed up by making male “marriage” legal, the way was open for God’s judgment to fall on us. It will increasingly happen: there is no way back.
The final crack-up we have been writing about in our books and on our website for years, and which I speak on to churches and at conferences, is coming soon. The signs are all around- we are in the final minutes of this age and the Rapture – the taking out of the true church, the remnant, Bible-believing church, must be close. We don't know the date but we can see the signs!
