Our Lord's resurrection is the most outstanding event in world history, and also the most authenticated. Over 500 eye witnesses, as well as the apostles, met with the risen Jesus after His crucifixion. Even the religious leaders of His day, who caused Him to be put to death, could not deny the fact of the empty tomb, which had a guard of Roman soldiers placed outside it to stop any interference.
I (Alan) always used to say things like: "If you can prove it I'll believe it." This is not a foolish approach to assessing stories and one I used constantly as a writer and editor. I wanted facts, not fables.
You get all the evidence you need to know that Jesus is truly God by studying scripture and history. Cleverer men than I, who also set out as sceptics, have come to the only true conclusion possible. Our Lord is unique, the one and only, the Saviour of the World, the soon and coming King.
Men of the highest caliber have come to the Lord Jesus Christ after forensic examination of the evidence for His divinity, as fully God and fully man.

Addressing audiences worldwide, including Presidents, Kings, Parliaments, Cabinets, Bar Associations, and the United Nations, He stated:
"The bones of Muhammad are in Medina, the bones of Confucius are in Shantung, the cremated bones of Buddha are in Nepal. Thousands make pilgrimages to worship at their tombs which contain their bones. But in Jerusalem there is a cave cut into the rock.
This is the tomb of Jesus. IT IS EMPTY! YES, EMPTY! BECAUSE HE IS RISEN! He died, physically and historically. He arose from the dead, and now sits at the right hand of God."
So that’s why our Lord is unique, why our dating system revolves around his birth and why His soon return should be in all our thoughts today. It’s our day to celebrate the greatest event ever.
