Do you take the knee? I most certainly do. Since I hardly ever watch television news, and never watch sport, I didn’t know what ‘take the knee’ meant, and asked Alan . Oh, I see. Well, I am not going to stop taking the knee for Jesus. And the day is coming when EVERY knee will genuflect to Him.
‘At the name of Jesus EVERY knee shall bow of things in heaven, on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father.’ Philippians 2:10,11 How wonderful that we can do this already!
This goes all the way back to Isaiah in the Old Testament, chap 40:23. ‘I have sworn that unto Me every knee will bow and every tongue shall swear (allegiance).
It is also found in Romans 14:11. ‘As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me and every tongue shall confess to God.’
The first time I ever took the knee to Jesus was in 1981, all alone in a room after reading the Bible every evening for a few weeks.
That time got me through the gospels of Matthew, Mark and some of Luke, and by then I was just disgusted at my life and just loved Jesus.
So I took the knee to Him, begged Him to forgive my sins, told Him I believed every word of His book, the Bible, and begged Him to let me be one of His people.
I didn’t think He would do any of that, but then I didn’t know Him well enough! That was nearly 40 years ago and from that night I have belonged to Jesus.
Dear friend, why not take the knee to Jesus today, while there is still time?
Surely we can all see by now that we’re coming up to crunch time. Please don’t sneer and harden your heart , as I would have done at one time.
We really are going to hit the buffers, folks! The end times have begun. We are not ever going back to normality.
That golden age of affluence and freedom is gone. The scary time is upon us.
It is time to open your heart to the Lord Jesus, the only one who can save us from hell and keep us in this awful time we are entering.
He has the keys of death and of hell (Rev 1:18). No one dies unless Jesus allows it, so if you know Him you do not have to fear Covid or death from any other cause. His love will cast out fear, because if you know and love Him, you know for certain you will spend eternity with Him in perfect joy.
You really can switch lanes today, from the broad lane that goes to hell and get on the narrow, difficult lane that leads to glory. (Matthew 7:13,14)
A sample prayer: Lord Jesus, help! I’m scared. I hate all this – lockdowns, masks, businesses collapsing, the threat of a mandatory vaccine with a quantum dot in it to control every person on earth. It’s horrible! Stuff like this is in the Bible and it also says You are coming back. But I don’t know You and I don’t know the Bible enough. Please forgive my disgusting sins! Please make me one of Your people before it’s too late. I totally put my trust in you.
