You get an F for history, Mr President: by Pat Franklin

President Biden, do they still teach history in America?  Here is what he said at the G7 Summit in Brussels today, broadcast on BBC’s Newsnight:   ‘I constantly remind Americans that when America was attacked for the first time in its ( words not discernible, sounded like ‘shore sense’)  what happened back uh in the beginning of World War II, NATO stepped up.’  Oh did it?  How odd, when it was not formed until five years later.

For your information, Mr President, America was not attacked at the beginning of World War II.  The war had been in full swing for  about two long years.  Poland, Holland, Belgium and France had fallen.

The RAF (Royal Air Force) had won the Battle of Britain and defeated the German Luftwaffe in 1940.

The Blitz had left much of Britain in ruins with relentless bombing that only stopped in May 1941.

Sorry, Mr Biden.  There was no NATO, not for another 5 years!

The attack on America Mr Biden referred to must have been Pearl Harbour – and that was not until December, 1941.  Then, at last, America declared war on Japan and Germany (after they had both foolishly declared war on America!).

So, Mr Biden, you get an F for history.   And it scares me silly that you are the one now in charge of the defence of the free world.

So did anyone on BBC’s Newsnight pick up on any of this?  Oh no, no one seemed to notice.  That’s OK; each household in the UK only has to pay the BBC £159 a year (about $224) TV licence fee.  So you can’t expect them to get everything right, right?

Newsnight rolled on, focussing on Boris Johnson, as usual looking like a clown, with his hair poking up in every direction, so stylish and trendy.  Boris is so busy building back better that he forgets to comb his hair.

Actually, I am sorry to write all this; it really hurts.  I love Britain.  I love America.  I wish we had leaders we could respect, men of high calibre.

But the truth is that we are the final generation, watching the train wreck of history as the era comes to a tragic end.

I know this is true, because it is biblical.  The Lord Jesus told us many signs to watch for, and for the first time in human history, the end time  signs are all here.

What can you do about it?  Actually there is an escape route.  Jesus warns in Luke 21:35, ‘Pray always that you may be accounted worthy to escape all that is coming on the earth, and to stand before the Son of Man.’

Some of us will escape the terrible time that is coming, far worse even than World War II.  Jesus called it the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24, Luke 21, Mark 13, the Book of Revelation).

How can you be one of those privileged to escape? Not difficult, but most people will still not do it.

All you have to do is to put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to save you, to forgive all your sins, and make you one of His people.  Accept as true that He died on the cross of Calvary, shedding His holy blood as a sacrifice for your sins, that He was buried, and rose from the dead on the third day, according to the scriptures.

Or brush Him off, rejecting  His offer of free salvation.  Up to you, folks.  As for me, I put my total, entire trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, who forgave my sins as soon as I came to Him in faith in 1981.

The great escape scriptures:  1 Thes 4:16-18 - we will not all die; 1 Cor 15:51 twinkling of an eye.
