Gog (Russia’s leader) meets the power of God and that is the end of him, his army and those of the most powerful Islamic nations .

Russia is doomed! Almighty God Himself will destroy their armed forces and much of their nation when they follow their wicked onslaught on Ukraine by leading an attack on Israel, God’s special land on earth.

Bible prophecy, accurate in every detail, tells the fate of Russia  and its Islamic allies  in the fairly near future. Perhaps two or three years  or even sooner.

 Four hundred years before Jesus, Zechariah foretold events in Jerusalem in the end times in Zechariah 12: 1- 6.

•  He said Jews would be back in Israel, the Israeli army would be “like a firepot among pieces of wood.” (It is no accident that the Israeli Defence Force has won every battle when Islamic armies have attacked it, usually in far greater numbers that the Jewish defenders.)

•  Jerusalem will be the world’s focal point – and the world’s armies will come against it. First comes another war - and then the Russian-led invasion of Ezekiel 38/9. This could only have happened since 1948 when Israel was reformed as a nation in a day, exactly as prophesied.

• So who will stop Putin, now said to be the most powerful man in the world?

• The Lord God Himself! Once “Gog” attacks Israel- the word applies to whoever is leading Russia when this happens. Please note that the Israeli Defence Force is not involved.

   The Ezekiel 38/39 invaders...

  • The prophet names the peoples involved.Gog, leader of Magog, prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal. Gog is a title - like czar. Whoever rules Russia  at the time will be Gog. Magog, Meshech and Tubal occupied southern Russia. Rosh is the basis of the modern name of Russia.

  • The tribes of Meshech and Tubal gave their names to Moscow and Tobolsk,  Siberia. These names cover southern and northern Russia.

  • God puts hooks in Russia’s jaws. Ezekiel 38 pictures the invaders as a storm cloud covering the entire land.  From out of the north parts..and many peoples with you - Ezekiel 38/39

  • Russia leads a confederacy. The coming massive invasion by a seemingly invincible army on  tiny Israel ends up with all the invaders dead, shocking the world. Russia itself is devastated and will no longer be a world power.

  • The invaders  are  pulled from their lands with “hooks in your jaws,” so  those nations feel the Sovereign Lord’s fury (Ezekiel 38:4,18 ).

  • God drags these  nations to the “mountains of Israel” to “bring them to judgment with pestilence and blood… torrential rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone” (Ezekiel 38:21-22).

  • God’s ultimate purpose for supernaturally obliterating the invading coalition is so: “ I [God], will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the LORD” (Ezekiel 38:23).

  • Other nations involved with Russia are: Persia- now called Iran.

  • Cush- Ethiopia.

  • Put –is Somalia, bordering Ethiopia.

  • Gomer-  Turkey

  • Togarmah- Armenia.

  • Not one Arab state is mentioned. This is the dog that didn’t bark….Arab states attack first.(see my Powerpoint talks)The Russian-led alignment of nations that attack Israel is already being formed.

  • Russia is heavily involved in the Middle East and the nations that Russia leads into Israel in Ezekiel 38 and 39 are meeting regularly in an alliance to co-ordinate their policies in the area.

  • They come for spoil – maybe to control the whole Middle East and its oil.

  • The coming massive invasion by a seemingly invincible army on  tiny Israel ends up with the invaders dead, shocking the world.

  • Even many Jews, a hard people to convert,will know beyond doubt that an astounding event has just happened and many will be saved.

  • Some Arab countries protest at the invasion attempt- verse 13. Sheba and Dedan are in northern Arabia. Protests also come from Tarshish - likely to be Britain and America, one of the nations it spawned.

  • Russia and its allies are wiped out without man’s intervention. Its land is also devastated.

  • God alone will destroy the Russians on Israel’s mountains

  •  Russia leads Iran and other nations to their doom on Israel’s mountains.

• Ezekiel 39:9 Israel will be clearing  the debris of war 7 yrs- so it MUST be at least 3.5 yrs pre the coming seven year Great Tribulation, the worst time in the history of the world. For the last three and a half years the Jewish remnant will be fleeing the forces of Antichrist and won’t be clearing up debris!

• The world is due for even worse events after the true church is removed in the rapture. There will be a seven year Great Tribulation, the worst time in the history of the world

• The final attempt at destroying the Jews comes when the armies of the entire world gather to attack Israel.

• They have no chance and this is the good news, for the Lord returns for His Second Advent and destroys his enemies with a word.

  The last attempt at wiping out the Jews ends with the armies of the world – inspired by Antichrist-is not a war as such – it is a wipeout!The world’s armies are destroyed with a word from our Lord as he returns from Heaven to rule.

   

  Revelation 16:13-16  tells of the final conflict at" a place called Armageddon" "for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty."Har-Magedon (Armageddon) New  American Standard Bible.

   

  ¹³ And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of thefalse prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs; ¹⁴ for they are spirits of demons, ⁽performing signs, which go out to the kings of the ⁽entire world, to ⁽gather them together for the war of the ⁽great day of God, the Almighty.

   

  ¹⁵ (“Behold, ⁽I am coming like a thief. ⁽Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, ⁽so that he will not walk about naked and people will not see his shame.”) ¹⁶ And they ⁽gathered them together to the place which n Hebrew is called ⁽Har-Magedon.

   

   Then there is the ultimate good news: The King of Kings and Lord of Lords will rule the earth for 1000 years from Jerusalem -the reason so many attacks are made on this fairly small city as if men's puny efforts could stop the Creator of Heaven and Earth.Churches mostly fail to teach this and should remember: Revelation 19,10:...."The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
