Britain celebrated VE Day today, Victory in Europe, 80 years on, the saving of our western Christian way of life, the preservation of freedom - paid in blood. And today we look the other way as that way of life is mocked (by us!), trampled on and recklessly shoved aside to make room for a god we never knew, courts we never chose, and a foreign system we never voted for which horrifies us so much we do not dare mention its name. Its name is Islam.
I knew nothing of Islam before 9/11. On 9/12 I walked into a bookshop to buy a copy of the Koran and a life of Mohammed. I needed to find out why they hated us so much.
My one brush with Islam before that was on a vacation in Morocco. A young girl in a burkha came up to me sobbing. She held out her arms and both hands had been chopped off. It is the only time in my life I ever screamed.
That was in the 1970s. Now Islam is entrenched throughout the west. Taliban men are in a migrants’ hotel a few miles from our home. Christian migrants have left the hotel in fear. Sharia courts dispense their own brand of justice in some areas. Towns elect Islamic mayors, towns including London. Marchers fill our streets making demands for Palestine, which was never a real nation.
Jews fought with the west for freedom in World War Two. Arabs fought with the other side, which is why the land of Palestine was freed from 400 years of Turkish dictatorship and the nation of Israel was not born, but reborn.
Have we forgotten that Jesus is a Jew, Mary is a Jew and the 12 apostles are all Jews? I use the present tense because they are all alive. Our God, the true God, is God of the living. Allah is the moon god of Mohammed’s desert tribe. Who even knows that in the west? Who among our leaders has bothered to find out the roots of that religion?
Islam calls for the death of all Jews and the overthrow of Israel, the tiny country facing the sea and surrounded on all other sides by enemy countries.
While one part of the west recognises that Israel is the only place in the Middle East where freedom exists, another part has flung open our doors to muslim immigration. We now have millions of muslims. Some churches are turned into mosques.
Many people live in areas where they are no longer feel welcome. We have met some of them in northern UK cities.
We pretend to believe the lie that Islam is a peaceful religion. Why? Because we are afraid of muslims. There are too many of them now. They can vote as a block. A substantial number of them are prepared to use violence and those who are are only doing what their religion commands.
Our own leaders have legally gagged us so that any discussion might be looked on as racist, which is absurd. Or Islamophobic, a term invented to shut people up. Phobia means fear. not malevolence. They have turned fear into a crime.
I wonder if the child with no hands in Morocco is still alive. I think of her many times, wishing I could help her. If only I could have brought her back with me, taught her English, taught her about the love of Jesus and how He died to pay for all our sins and make us fit for heaven.
Would anyone dare to call her Islamophobic?
Read the Koran and the Haddiths to find what Islam teaches. Did you know it’s OK to beat women? Did you know Mohammed married a 6 year old girl and consummated the marriage when she was 9 years old? Did you know Islam has the goal of ruling the world and anyone who does not submit to it is in danger of beheading? Did you know that all Jews must be eliminated?
Tonight on the BBC they showed the film ‘Darkest Hour’. It is set in 1940 at the time of Dunkirk, I would submit that Britain is in an even darker hour now.
The enemy was obvious then. Now the enemy is embedded, a secretive enemy which we pretend is not dangerous.
In the film Churchill makes a stirring speech in the House of Commons. ‘We shall fight – on the seas – we shall fight in the air –etc. We shall defend our islands whatever the cost may be.’ It cemented the morale of an already united country.
We are no longer united. We are not fighting. We do not even admit there is an enemy. It is too scary.
I met a Swiss lady who ran a coffee shop in Switzerland. She hired a young muslim immigrant who told her once, ‘I am here because our imam told us to get to any European country because that is how we will take over Europe, by moving in.’ She pretended she didn’t know what he was talking about because by then she was frightened of him.
I do not hate muslims. I love them enough to try to tell them the gospel and that they can have their sins forgiven and find a wonderful new life through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
One teacher I know told us that Satan has two tactics. He comes as a dragon or as a serpent. When he attacks as a dragon it is obvious you are under attack. Churchill and the entire world knew they were fighting a fierce battle to the death. That is Satan coming as a dragon. The west won and then let its guard down.
Islam could never win against the west by head on fighting. Militarily we would win hands down. We didn’t even view Islam as an enemy, but a foreign, rather exotic way of life which did not impinge on us at all. But of course they had the oil…
We wanted the oil, but they want much more – rulership of the entire earth.
I am not making this up. You can read their books for yourself, the books which form the foundation of their faith. Mohammed commanded them to fight. Jesus commanded us to pray for our enemies and to take the gospel to the world.
According to reports, thousands of muslims are coming to Christ and that is marvellous. But Islam is clear that any muslim who changes his religion must be killed.
In Israel a muslim man sat crying in the home of Christians. He knew their faith was true and he longed to give his heart to Jesus, but sobbed out the words, saying that he could not become a Christian because he would lose his wife, his children, his home and his relatives would be looking for him to kill him.
That same Christian household was hiding a muslim woman and her baby. She never left the house because her family was looking for her to kill her. Her crime? She had a baby out of wedlock. She looked me in the eye and said: ‘In Islam there is no mercy.’
This is the ‘peaceful religion’ we have welcomed in to our countries. It may be the religion that takes over before the Lord Jesus comes back, a Victory in Europe which would mean the end of freedom.
The Bible has been removed from schools. Bible knowledge is almost zero, even among church goers! Christianity is mocked on TV, in movies. The name of Jesus is used as an expletive and no one objects. The state church, the Church of England, is a laughing stock and its leaders do not preach the faith because so many of them do not believe it themselves.
There is always a remnant and we are part of that. We know the Bible is literally true. Mock as you will, but Jesus really did create the universe in 6 literal days. There really was a world wide Flood for which evidence is all over the globe. You can even see it with your own eyes if you go down to the beach at the White Cliffs of Dover. The parallel lines of the Flood tides go all the way up.
An old man said to me: ‘I would believe if only I had proof of Jesus.’ I gave him proof and he prayed to open his heart to the Savior. What proof? Four written records carefully preserved over 2,000 years, the four gospels. Testimonies sealed with the blood of men who died as martyrs rather than recant.
The only way we could turn our countries back is through education, but that is not allowed. In fact multiculturalism and diversity demand that we do not educate by giving children the truth of the Bible. They have to be presented with various religions and none placed above the rest.
In the past when British children left school at about 17 they were given a King James Bible with an inscription that it is ‘the most valuable thing this world affords.’ We have one in our house. It is dated 1960 and is from the Surrey Education Committee.
Every child received a pocket New Testament and Psalms. No longer. Now there is an entire generation growing up knowing virtually nothing about God.
Some believe that before He comes for His church, Jesus will regenerate this lost generation by sending His Holy Spirit in revival for the children.
There is still hope, our Blessed Hope. Jesus really is coming back and He will remove His people, all those who have trusted in Him for their salvation.
Most of the Christians I know believe that the Rapture of believers will be soon, perhaps this year. Yes please!

He’s coming, folks! The Lord Jesus Christ is coming in the air for His church to take us out so that the final 7 years of the Tribulation can unfold.
Won’t you open your heart to Jesus now?
Here is a sample prayer: ‘Lord Jesus, I am a sinner and the Bible says you died for sinners. Please oh please, forgive my sins! I believe you died on the cross of Calvary, you were buried and rose to life on the third day. Please make me one of your people.’
So another VE Day is over and done. Churchill is long dead. The next Victory in Europe is likely to be one we do not wish to see.
