Tarot cards are thought by some to tell the future, and by others to put you in touch with your ‘higher consciousness’.
Wrong and wrong again.
Tarot cards are just one more tentacle of Satan’s dark supernatural, an inroad for the occult into your life.
They are a fast track to Hell, and like all demonic openings into your mind, can lead to insanity and demon possession.
Tarot cards are not ‘a bit of fun’.
They are deadly.
But the good news is that even if you have messed around with tarot cards or Ouija boards or similar occult games, you can be saved by the power of God through Jesus Christ, His Son, who came to save all of us who believe in Him. (John’s gospel 3:16)
You can be delivered from all involvement with the dark supernatural.
Jesus has all authority in Heaven and earth and He can deliver you from evil.
In fact, He told us specifically to pray that very thing:
‘Deliver us from evil.’
Tragically, although the Lord Jesus, the Light of the World, came to save us, ‘men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their deeds were evil.’ John 3:19
If you profess to be a Christian, and yet you have occult items in your home, our advice is to burn them, or smash them up if they will not burn.
I burned quite a few books as a new Christian, and went through the house getting rid of anything to do with the occult, including zodiac horoscope symbols, and religious medals of Mary and St Christopher, which are only good luck charms, and as such are highly offensive to God.
If we had had any Buddhas, they would have been smashed to smithereens; also any garden gnomes, which look just like the Baal idols dug up in Israel.
A plaster statue of Mary was also smashed, as the Second Commandment forbids statues of anything in Heaven, on earth or under the earth and praying to them.
God is a jealous God!
He alone is worthy of all our love, all our respect, all our interest.
We’re not to look to anything or anyone else for supernatural wisdom and knowledge.
He loves us and wants us to know that only He and He alone is to be worshipped and prayed to.
He is worthy of all our trust, for He made us and He will judge each one of us. If you want to know your future, read the Bible!
Your future is either being judged for your degrees of punishment at the Great White Throne (the judgement of the damned described in the Book of Revelation Chapter 20) - or being judged for rewards at Jesus’ Bema Judgement Seat (2 Cor 5:10, when Jesus will reward His people who have done deeds for Him in this life).
Putting our faith, any faith at all, in something as stupid and useless as tarot cards is like spitting in God’s face.
God’s words for occult practices are:
‘detestable, abominable, witchcraft.’
This is from Deuteronomy 18:10-12, ‘There shall not be found among you anyone…who uses divination (trying to gain knowledge by supernatural means), one who practises witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.
For whoever does these things is detestable to the LORD.’
If you have been involved in occult practices, now is the time to get on your knees and repent of it.
‘Repent’ means to turn away from it, to change your mind about it, to ask God’s forgiveness for being involved in it.
Won’t you turn from the occult today and put yourself in God’s loving hands?
Jesus died to save us all, but His great offer of free salvation has to be accepted.
Will you accept His gift of salvation today, or will you snub Him, the One who died to save you?
There has never been or ever could be such a great gift, and so freely available to any who will come to Jesus.
And yet….most people refuse to accept God’s gift, thereby guaranteeing a place for themselves in Hell.
The tragedy is beyond imagining.
They prefer darkness to light.
I was like that; I preferred the darkness.
I had no time for God.
I went down every one of
Satan’s rabbit trails – Ouija board, psychic circles, spiritualist evenings, psychic healing - anything that looked vaguely interesting.
But they all led nowhere.
Nothing good came of any of them.
Thank God, He got me out of all that, and He can get you out too!
There is more on this theme in our books.
