New Agers are deceptive- and themselves deceived.
When I was young and gullible and probably looking for a father figure (my father cleared off to Canada before I was born) the magazine I worked for sent me to
meet a fascinating personality.
This was in
Winchester, Hampshire, England,
where I interviewed
a man who headed up something called the "World Healing Fellowship."
He was charming, persuasive and had a picture of what purported to be Jesus on his wall. He laid his hands on me and I felt warmth passing through my body, rather like electricity. He then offered me the job of going to work for him to launch a newspaper.
I foolishly accepted. After all, hadn't he
"healed" me? I did feel better - less stressed - after this first meeting. Little did I know the stress he would then lay on me instead.....
There was not anything physically wrong with me but I
full of fears and anxiety and my main thought was to commit suicide.
This is a link to an interview recently recorded in Israel with Michael Nissim, who leads a Messianic fellowship in Galilee. It tells a little of my experiences with the New Agers and what the leader taught me about "flying saucers."
I will be writing more about
what I discovered about
this odd new Age movement I went to work for. The truth is stranger than fiction and this is where I was introduced to the idea, still widely
held and relentlessly publicised on television programs, that UFOs will be coming back soon to take the troublemakers off earth for re-education.
They mean us by the way - Bible-believing Christians who expect the rapture at any time. This is why some excuse has to be prepared for the sudden vanishing from the earth of many millions of people.
Remember, the church- the true church- never suffers th wrath of God and we are promised delivery from it. That comes with the rapture when the church goes up to meet the Lord in the air.
Beware of easy answers from people who are allegedly "spiritual." The type who revere "Mother Earth" and believe we were created by "Ancient Aliens."
Anything but the truth, which comes in the bible's first chapter - Genesis.
This is a time of great deception, as the Lord warned us about several times in Matthew chapter 24, a description of
End Times society.
We are now there - a lull before the final storm, The Tribulation, the worst time in the history of the world. So, be warned, be watchful and look up, for the Lord is coming back to redeem us and rule and reign from Jerusalem.
That is why the world is turning more and more to violent Anti-Semitism. Satan, the most deluded being of all, imagines that if he can persuade the world to exterminate the Jews then there will be no second advent of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The battle going on is spiritual as the Jews are a great blessing to countries they live in, innovative, intelligent and never the aggressors when they have to be in combat to defend their God-given homeland of Israel.
Does it not strike readers as astounding that, in a world where terrorist deeds by Islamics are taking place on a large scale against Christians and others in diverse places, that there is little criticism of Islam but widespread criticism of Israel - the only democracy in The Middle East?
Where there is no logic to actions the answer is usually in the spiritual realm. But there is true and false spirituality. Our book: Cults and Isms:True or False? tells you of many of the false faiths and ideas you should beware of. It is worth having on every Christian's bookshelf and is the book we would have liked to have when we were being led up false trails. It's in our web shop on this site.
