Our leaders lie about Islam. Or else they are inexcusably ignorant. I (Pat) bought a copy of the Koran after 9/11 to see why they hated us so much. It is only the size of an ordinary paperback book, with 114 'suras' or chapters, some only one page long. It did not take long to read, but it sure opened my eyes! Please read on and have your eyes opened too.
Mohammed was an illiterate camel driver in the 7th century A.D. He could not read or write. He married an older, wealthy woman and then did not have to work, so he spent time meditating in a cave. He saw a vision of a terrifying creature which spoke to him. He told his wife he had seen a 'jinn' or genie, a demon, and he was terrified of it.
But she convinced him it was an angel from God and he should go back and listen more. He unfortunately believed her, and got his information from that supernatural being, which claimed to be the angel Gabriel. He told other people, who wrote it down later and this became the Koran.
I have read the Koran and here are some of the highlights, if you could call them that.
Fighting and killing:
‘If you do not go out and fight, god will punish you severely…’ Sura 9:39 (I am told that the Arabic word translated as 'fight' in modern copies should really be translated as 'murder', but that they have watered it down for English readers.
‘You who believe, fight the disbelievers near you…’ Sura 9:123
‘Fight in god’s cause against those who fight you, …Kill them wherever you encounter them and drive them out from where they drove you out, for persecution is more serious than killing…Fight them until there is no more persecution and worship is devoted to god (Allah).’ Sura 2:190-193
Those who will not fight: ‘…we expect god to inflict punishment on you, either from himself or at our hands…’ Sura 9:52 and ‘they are cowardly’ Sura 9:56
‘He who fights so that Allah’s word (Islam) should be superior, then he fights in Allah’s cause.’ Hadith Vol 1, Book 3, Number 125
Christianity is just the opposite. Jesus commands us in the Bible: ‘Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you.’ Words of the Lord Jesus, Matthew 5:44‘My kingdom is not of this world.’ John 19:36
‘If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also.’ Luke 6:29
As for husband-wife relations, the Koran says: ‘If you fear high-handedness from your wives … when you go to bed, then hit them.’ Sura 4:34 The Bible, of course, tells husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church - enough to die for her.
Mohammed's threat to unbelievers: ‘We shall brand him on the snout!’ Sura 68:16

As well as the Koran, there is the Haddith. This is in several volumes. It is the memories of anyone who happened to know Mohammed and remembered anything he said. All these sayings were written down after his death and make up the Haddith. I looked it up on the web, where you can find all nine volumes, and go through them if you want to. Satan is in your nose at night: The prophet (Mohammed) said, "If anyone of you rouses from sleep and performs the ablution, he should wash his nose by putting water in it and then blowing it out thrice, because Satan has stayed in the upper part of his nose all the night."’ Hadith Volume 4, Book 54, Number 516
The proper way to spit in a mosque: '... none of you should spit in the direction of the Qibla but one can spit to the left or under his foot." The prophet (Mohammed) then took the corner of his sheet and spat in it and folded it and said, "Or you can do like this. "’ Hadith, Volume 1, Book 8, Number 399.
Sorry, folks, this is NOT a religion of peace, but a satanic religion of hatred and war. Millions are enslaved to this evil 'religion'. You cannot come out once you are in it, for Mohammed also said: 'Whoever changes his relision, kill him.'

But remember our Lord's injunction in Matthew chapter 7: do not give your pearls of truth to swine, because they will trample on them (mock the truth) and then turn on you and tear you to pieces.
