by Pat Franklin, a 'cradle Catholic' who became a Christian after reading the Bible
What did Jesus say about His mother? Matthew 12:46-50 tells of an incident when Jesus' mother and brothers came looking for Him, but could not get into the house because of the crowds surrounding it. Someone told Him that they were outside.
What did He say? 'Who is My mother and My brothers?' And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, 'Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.'
In the gospel of Luke chapter 12:27-28 a woman in the crowd shouted to Jesus: 'Blessed is the womb that bore you.' Jesus' reply was: 'More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!'
Dear Catholics, you have been deceived, and your priests are deceived because they do not read the Bible. Instead they read a book called the Brieviery. It is not the Bible. You need to start daily Bible reading for yourself and find out the truth.
It is clear from the Bible that when we pray it should be to the Father in the name of Jesus. It is not to Mary. It is not to the Holy Spirit.
Please read our Table of Truth: Catholic Church vs the Bible, which is on the top left of the home page. There is also a great deal more about this subject in our books, 'Goodbye America, Goodbye Britain' and 'Cults and Isms: True or False?'
You need to know the truth. Ignorance will be no excuse when you stand before God. Mary will not help you. In fact she hates it too when you pray to her!
